Liesl painted a family tree for my three year old daughter. The scene visually captures our family story and includes all the key family members. The painting has been a real hit! Sophia has shown it to everyone who visits, she is very proud of it. She has even designated the airplane in the painting as her friend Carrie. My parents and in-laws have all had a great sense of humor about the characters that represent them in the piece, as well. Everyone just thinks it is so cool and clever, and I love that it has

such rich meaning. Liesl was a delight to work with, she really gets kids and connected to our family. Although our family tree is long completed, Sophia still asks about her artist all the time.

I want to thank you for the custom paintings you created for a baby shower gift for my friend. She works on Capitol Hill is very much a Democrat. Her husband is solid Republican who works for the Administration. Their bipartisan baby will love the special donkey and elephant paintings by you that will be displayed in his room. The gift was so perfect for my friend that when she opened it at her shower there was a round of applause!

I just got back from checking my mailbox and found the painting you have done for Leta. It is so darling and perfect. What a great way to start my week. Love the bright colors and so does Leta. She looked at it and said Doggie says ruff, ruff! Thank you so much for a wonderful gift!

Your custom painting of the world was a gift for our two-year-old whose first reaction was WOW! followed by something that really sounded like I like this - - and she is not really talking in sentences yet, so that is something! My husband and I were also delighted with the way you represented the special trips and family milestones in the piece. It was an absolute pleasure working with you, Liesl, and the painting really is everything we had imagined!

Liesl's mini-paintings are perfect baby shower gifts! I always offer them to expecting parents as baby's first art, because it is never too soon to introduce art appreciation into a child's life. Plus - - kids do not grow out of these!

After a visit to France, my 3 year old niece in Ireland, Laura, became obsessed with the words pink, princess and chateau. Liesl created a painting that captured the wonder and colour of Laura's world and brought it to life. No surprise she was awestruck with pride when she received the painting last Christmas... and still is.

Lily loves her Octopus T-shirt and still asks to wear it every day. I always have to tell her it is dirty, but when I do put it on her she just runs around smiling and acting all goofy for like 20 minutes.

Liesl combined our 2 year old son Declan’s love of sports with another of his favorite things - - dragons (but not too scary) - - and created four fun, endearing scenes that he can relate to and tell stories about. The dragon playing badminton reminds him of the times he hit the birdies over our fence while playing with his Musee (a.k.a. grandpa). We love hearing what these scenes evoke for him.

Thank you again for the wonderful dog paintings. Bronwyn absolutely loves them! They hang over her crib, and every time she wakes up, she looks at them and gets the most wonderful toothless grin on her face! It is priceless to see her with such joy.
